Breathe was born out of Princess Tatiana’s passion and dedication to personal and social well-being. The world is currently living through the Covid-19 pandemic, but we are also facing a serious mental health epidemic. Covid-19 has forced us to reassess and reprioritise what matters most, while also causing many to live in fear and anxiety due to uncertainty.
VISIT BREATHEEmotional well-being is something that Princess Tatiana has always been passionate about. On a personal level, she lost her father to depression when she was 7 years old. His passing and the silence that surrounded it impacted and shaped her life. Her career has been dedicated to creating positive social impact.
The World Health Organization states that 1 in 4 people will experience some form of mental illness in any given year. Yet recent reports show that nearly 80% of people do not seek treatment for their mental health needs due to stigma and shame.
Covid-19 is a call to action. It’s time to talk openly about mental health and educate ourselves and others. Now more than ever, Princess Tatiana is committed to creating awareness and funding around different mental health initiatives, through her mindful mental health movement, BREATHE.
