This childlike excitement is REAL: opening this box from La Mer brought me back to when my mother used to give me one pot of La Mer cream at Christmas- telling me to "use sparingly, this is an investment into your health and your glow!" - she would say (and so I did and continue to do so).
My mother has always been my muse. I’ve always looked up to her and she has taught me so many invaluable lessons in life. Self care was one of them. From an early age she taught me to take time to care for myself. As I got older, she instilled in me the importance of skincare. After all, our skin is our largest organ. It absorbs all of our feelings, emotions, nutrition and is also affected by the external world: sun, masks etc.
