The cookbook project was conceived and brought to life by the people of BOROUME and Princess Tatiana, with the invaluable support of TeNeues. In A Taste of Greece, over thirty five well-known personalities from around the world have chosen to share their favorite local food recipes to give life to their personal connection with this beautiful Mediterranean country and shed light on its multifaceted appeal. Proceeds from the book, released in June 2016, will benefit BOROUME.

This project represents a collaborative effort of passionate young men and women dedicated to assisting as many people as possible and building a closer sense of community.

BOROUME, founded in 2011, has established a communication hub between food donors and welfare organizations (welfare institutions, soup-kitchens, municipal social services) that creates “bridges” between those who have surplus food and wish to donate it and those who need it.

For Tatiana, A Taste of Greece represents a concrete expression of her love of Greece and her commitment to joining forces with individuals and organizations, across borders, to help support those in need in the country she now calls home.

BOROUME is a non-profit organization that aims to fight food waste by organizing the distribution of surplus food for charity throughout Greece.
